Brief Description

To demonstrate how the study of algorithmics has been applied in a number of different domains; to introduce formal concepts of computational intractability as it arises in natural computational problems; to provide sufficient background on some methods for dealing with computationally hard problems to allow more advanced treatments in Honours level courses.
