Brief Description

This module aims to give an insight into the process of converting raw data to useful information; to provide an overview of core pattern recognition methodology that is relevant to real-life problems; to present key pattern recognition methods that underpin technologies such as data mining, biologically motivated computing etc.; to extend knowledge on image analysis (the most significant application area of pattern recognition); and to examine the theoretical and practical issues involved in designing systems by presenting complete case studies of real-life applications.
